Disclosure under the terms of Art. 13 of Leg. Decree No. 196/03 embodying the “Personal Data Protection Code”
Recordati S.p.A. and the companies controlled thereby (the “Recordati Group”) and Investis Limited (“Investis”) are aware of the importance of guaranteeing the security of the information and data, regarding you, which they acquire when you visit these web pages (the “Site”).
The Recordati Group and Investis undertake to process the personal data that they acquire in full compliance with the Personal Data Protection Code, in accordance with the terms and for the purposes set out below.
1. The data processed
When you visit the Site, the Recordati Group and Investis may come to know the following data (hereinafter, the “Data”):
(a) data given voluntarily
that is, your personal data (e.g. first name, last name, e-mail address and telephone number) communicated to us by completing the appropriate form that you will find on the Site;
(b) navigation data
that is, computer data, the transmission of which is implicit and automatically connected to the use of the internet communication protocols, which the information systems and software functions used for the functioning of this Site acquire during their normal operation; this is data that is not collected for association with identified individuals but which, by their very nature, might enable the identification of the users by means of processing and associations with data held by third parties;
(c) cookies
that is, the data stored on the RAM or hard disk of your computer when you first visit the Site, which does not enable the Site to access any other data on your computer in any way but – unless deleted – does permit subsequent access to the Site without using a password or user id only. In this regard, we would point out that many browsers are not enabled to receive cookies and that you can disable your browser for the receipt of cookies, in any case, by following the procedures indicated by your Internet browser.
2. Providing the data processed
The provision of your Data is optional, with the exception of the navigation data indicated in the previous point 1, clause b). However, failure to provide or the subsequent request to delete the Data could make it impossible for you to obtain the information or services for which the provision of the Data is a necessary requirement.
3. Purpose of data processing
The Data provided voluntarily, indicated in the previous point 1, clause a), will be processed for the sole purposes of: (a) completing your registration and (b) activating the information services for you, which you request by completing the appropriate form on the Site.
The Navigation Data indicated in the previous point 1, clause b), will be processed for the sole purpose of collecting anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and monitoring its correct operation.
The cookies, indicated in the previous point 1, clause c) will be processed for the sole purpose of enabling more rapid access to the Site.
4. Processing methods
The Data is processed using automated instruments for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purpose for which it has been collected.
The Data is processed in accordance with principles of accuracy, lawfulness and transparency and to protect your confidentiality and rights as recognised under Article 7 of Legislative Decree No. 196/03, copied below.
This data may be communicated and/or distributed or made known by the Recordati Group and Investis only to those designated persons supervising or in charge of processing the data, who need to know it owing to their activities or jobs.
The data may be transferred abroad in full compliance with the provisions of Articles 42 and 43 of Legislative Decree No. 196/03.
5. Data controller
The data controller is Recordati Industria Chimica e Farmaceutica S.p.a., with its head office in Milan, via Civitali, no. 1. With regard to processing of the data by the Controller, you may exercise the rights, which are recognised under Art. 7 of Legislative Decree No. 196/03 (and copied at the bottom of this document) by submitting a request to the Personal Data Supervisor in accordance with Art. 29 of Legislative Decree No. 196/03 – Group Finance Director – addressed to: Recordati S.p.A., via Civitali, no. 1, 20148 - Milan.
Legislative Decree No. 196/03 - Article 7. “Right of access and other rights of the interested party”
- The interested party is entitled to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of personal data which relate thereto, even if not yet recorded, and have it communicated in an intelligible form.
- The interested party is entitled to obtain information on:
a) the origin of the personal data;
b) the purposes and methods of processing the data;
c) the logic applied in the event of the data being processed using electronic instruments;
d) the identifying particulars of the controller, supervisors and representative designated under the terms of Article 5, paragraph 2;
e) the parties or categories of parties to whom the personal data may be communicated or which may come to know it in the capacity of designated representative for the national territory, supervisors or persons in charge.
- The interested party is entitled to obtain:
a) the updating, correction or, if in its interests, the supplementing of the data;
b) the cancellation, transformation into an anonymous form or blocking of the data processed in breach of the law, including that it is not necessary to store in relation to the purposes for which it has been collected or subsequently processed;
c) the declaration that the operations referred to in clauses a) and b) have been brought to the attention of anyone to whom the data has been communicated or distributed, including with regard to the content thereof, except where this proves impossible or involves a task which is clearly disproportionate to the right protected.
- The interested party is entitled to object, in full or in part:
a) to the processing of personal data relating to it, for legitimate reasons, even if relevant to the purpose of the collection;
b) to the processing of personal data relating to it, for the purposes of sending advertising or direct sales material or for the performance of market research or business communication.
